Interested in batteries and keen to learn about the essence of what makes a good battery? In the end of September the Battery Coast at the University of Agder is offering a full, one-week course on lithium-ion batteries.

The course will start to introduce basic properties of materials and components in batteries and participants will make their own coatings, which will be assembled into batteries and tested. It will be explained how batteries are analyzed, what safety implications there may be and how they are combined into bigger systems safely. Outlooks on ethical and environmental aspects will provide a good overview of the value chain of lithium-ion batteries.
